Long Run
Ran this super easy and starting to question whether I'm going backwards at an accelerating rate or? On Fri the Dr had me push against him w/my right hamstring & after about 4 seconds could not hold it (able to do that w/left) -- but right hamstring felt really terrible after that as if someone was beating it w/a balpeen hammer (to where I had to take Sat off). If that wasn't bad on Fri a worker at Whole Foods called me over, told me his wife does sports massage & that he had seen my running Thur evening -- I said sarcastically "how bad did I look" and he replied truthfully "that is why I'm asking, your really limping badly on your right side"! So in this run I attempted to focus on form, cadence & stabilizing (and using my butt). Its hard to fathom running this slow (I progressed to running a long run to 8:45 pace which felt easy & now regressed almost 30 sec/mi!). Ran down fr Whole Foods to Sharon & right on Ferncliff to just above Colony & then back & up Sharon to Sharon View (mi 1-3), ran out to Cottswold (mi 4-5), ran some loops around Cottswold & then back to Harris Teeter (mi 6-7), then back on Sharon View to Whole Foods (mi 8-10). Right hamstring began to bother me in mi 10.
