Recovery Run [8:27 pace p mi adj for heat]
80 deg / 74% H [70 DP]. CLT Runners Tue nite run (Booty Loop) - 20 runners & got there too late. Even though the temp was not that bad it felt really humid out. Felt really tight and sore fr yesterday's workout & this marked the first time I followed an interval workout w/a run vs. a day off. Hard to describe how terrible I felt -- almost immediately it felt like a struggle to jog and I could feel the soreness. The heat compounded things as I was sweating like crazy 2 miles, when I ran up the hill coming back on Queens ran up very slowly (short strides, knees up), at 4 miles my shorts were soaked, and my pace felt like my very slow long runs (was surprised I was not going slower). At 6 miles stopped to drink water but more so I started to feel sick to my stomach fr the heat - noticed my shoes were soaked fr sweat.
