Long Run [8:15 pace p mi adj for heat]

64 deg / 70% H / 54 DP. Very (very) warm & ran this shirtess (in the middle of Dec in NY!). Had to heat adjust this run as I was really hot, and was sweating profusely (shorts soaked). Started out and felt some pain in right Psoas/lower abdomen. Felt some lite pain several times throughout run. It was dark, warm, roads were wet, and I had a steady wind in my face for miles 1-3 & 5 (it started blowing really harder in mile 3). Ran out to N. White Plains train station on Bronx River Trail to White Plains train station (felt cooler along trailer), 5 degrees warmer off the trail. hung a right on Rte 119 to County Center then hung a left up to Central Ave. I could feel myself sweating a lot but the breeze in my face was cooling me down. Ran down Central Ave and then when I got into Hartsdale and past Trader Joes took a right onto Washington (which is rolling uphill). Did not feel breeze in face on Washington, turned left on Hartsdale Ave, down to Four Corners and then 1/2 mile on Hartsdale Ave towards Hartsdale train station turning around, back up and down and then right on Central Ave (which is up hill for about a mile and then downhill for a mile). I was really started to sweat now that there was no breeze, but felt better. At around 8 miles I really felt the wheels come off and then it was a real struggle from then on. I felt like mile 9 was 9:00 pace and this was a struggle. Got back to N. White Plains train station and then ran up to North Broadband and then up North Broadway in mile 10 -- this felt like a super struggle & amazed that I went 8:24 pace (again, felt like 9 min pace). Such a struggle to build up my long run back up to 12/13 miles. Unfortunately I "milked" every traffic stop encountered.
