Easy / Hill Run [7:57 pace p mi adj for heat]

80 deg / 45% H [57 DP]. Did 2x drills prior and right foot hurt during the 20x butt kicks. Started out and right foot really hurt (applied extra tape up to ankle to give more support) to, like yesterday, I had immediate second thoughts about continuing over the first 4-5 minutes. Turing 90 degrees to the right made it really hurt more (I could feel it in the plantar ligament) so over the first mile I had to stop, turn, and then run vs. turn to the right (and did this at 5 miles also). After about a mile the pain subsided, was actually able to turn to the right w/out hurting it again. Took Sulkirk to Old Reid, down Park and ran hard up the hill on Park South hard (foot felt fine), so then decided to run 4 "hill" loops running hard for the 330 yards up Park South to the corner of Old Reid & Sulkirk (did not "push it", focused on form, shortening the stride) & then easy around. After the 4th loop I was at 4.5 miles, shorts soaked & really sweating despite a lower dew point. Felt uncomfortable for next 1/2 mile until I got into a rhythm and ran easy to 6.2 miles (felt better vs. yesterday, foot hurt less then yesterday). Trying to figure out what caused foot to hurt more yesterday -- wore newer orthotics? did not do single leg reaches yesterday? the Gel Nimbus' I wore yesterday are worn out?
