VO2Max Blend Interval

Goal: 4 x (1k @VO2Max or 6:50 pace p mi, 2 min jog recovery, 300m@VO2Max - 25 sec or 6:25 pace p mi, 4 min jog recovery).

Actual: 4 x (0.65 mi @6:49 pace p mi, 2 min jog recovery, 300m @6:17 pace p mi, 4 min jog recovery). Overall = 6:42 pace p mi.

Felt better running this compared to 5 weeks ago when I ran this similar set. Didn't feel like I had to go to the well as I did 5 weeks ago. Ran basically the same for the VO2Max sets (then it was 6:51/6:50/6:49/6:46 at 1k) but these felt under control, and ran much faster for the 300m segments as I felt stronger and much more under control (then it was 6:30/6:29/6:25/6:20). Ran these w/the Breathe Right strip which helped open up my nasal passages. Was hoping that I would start to see "improvement" (usually my pace will improve 5-6 sec p mi upon each workout cycle) but that sinus infection dealt a big setback and I'm probably still dealing with the remnants of it.
