Cool down + 5x 70 yards of skipping/bounding on grass field at Pearl St Park
Felt horrific as I jogged about 1k prior to getting to Pearl St. Park for the 5x skipping/bounding. I first jogged 200 yds to a water fountain, and then did not want to leave as felt dead dog tired. Slogged to the park. The splits I ran for the skipping/bounding astound me -- the first two were where I was skipping one leg, run step on other leg and the next three were skip/bound one leg, run 4 steps, skip/bound other leg. When I start these I skip/bound to start so I'm slow to start vs. a stride and one would think I would be alot slower. On #1 the pain in my left glute/upper hamstring hurt (where I have felt tightness) so I figured out the cause (and the alternative leg skipping/bounding is less stressful). After this jogged back to Trader Joes (it felt like a Burma death march until the final .35 of a mile). Accurate splits on the skipping/bounding:
