Long Run (Fast Finish)

50 degrees. Last 7 miles: 8:04 pace / Last 4 miles: 7:58 pace (did not run this intentionally as a fast finish - felt absolutely horrible). Ran speed workout last night, and lifted (upper body) prior to this run, so legs were very sore today, and right Psoas was really hurting (both next to hip bone and into groin area). When I started right Psoas hurt much more in prior days. I was also wearing jacket and long sleeve as the forecast was for rain. Through the first two miles every step was an effort and this felt like 9 min pace (running down Sharon and then across on Ferncliff to Colony). At two miles I shed the jacket as I was overheating, and continued on (looping up Colony towards the mall). Legs still felt really sore and every hill/incline felt like an effort. From mile 4 thru mile 7 was mostly uphill and somehow, even though I felt terrible the pace began to drop (this felt like I was running at 8:30/40 pace). Grabbed water at just past mile 7, and then the two miles back to the end of Ferncliff to retrieve my jacket (I felt bio-mechanically better running at this point but could feel all sorts of nicks and pains in right Psoas, right glute & right hamstring. Retreived jacket and looked at split (7:53), so then throttled down to run the ~2 miles back. Began to feel really horrible at this point, as if this was mile 25 and I was going in slow motion -- towards the end of mile 10 I did not really think I would make it back based on how horrible (and slow) I felt. Yet mile 11 was the fastest mile I ran? And both of the last two miles were all uphill?
