Long Run
Ran this super easy in very humid conditions. A really bad storm below thru earlier which brought the temps down. Ran fr Whole Foods to Morrison, left on Barclay Downs, right on Fairview & then down to Carnegie & a lap around (miles 1 -3, ran this slow, felt strong on the hills compared to prior days). back up to Fairview, left & then left onto Barclay Downs all the way to Runnymeade & then very rolling up steep hills & right on Sharon & right on Ferncliff to just above Colony (miles 4 - 6, felt better than prior 3 miles, form felt better & felt stronger going up the rolling hills as I did not feel any ache or deep pain in hamstring). looped back up Ferncliff & then right up Sharon to top of hill (concentrated on quick cadence & form & again felt much better going up the hill compared to prior weeks despite the very slow pace). Despite my pace getting faster in mile 8 & 9, felt worse in mile 8 & then "more worse" in mile 9. Over these past two miles began to feel some stress in hamstring over the first 1/2 mi in mile 8 so I actually slowed down to see that would feel better. At around mi 8 I felt like I began to lose rhythm & this felt like 11 min pace. At mile 4 I could feel that the temperature was cooler but humidity was bad but my shorts were not soaked -- and when I stopped at mile 9 it was like I jumped in a lake.
