Speed Set
3 x 500m (8:00 pace); 2 x 1/4 mi (7:25 pace); 2 x 300m (6:44 pace)
Relatively hot & humid conditions & first time running a speed set in 2 months & still dealing w/colitis. Felt really sluggish on the 500m repeats as it felt like I was in 3rd gear & unable to get out of that gear (did not feel strong & splits were embarrassingly slow). Felt better/stronger running the 1/4 mile repeats as I was fine tuning my form (tried to shorten stride & run stronger). My goal on the 300m repeats was 7 min pace and further fine tuned my form - unfortunately missed my first split so I could not gauge my pace & ran #2 probably a lot faster vs where I wanted to be. At least I finished strong.
