LT Tempo Run
Goal: 5 mi @8:05 pace
Actual: Bust - 4.5mi @8:13 pace + 1/2mi (7:51) = 8:11 aggregate (8:00 pace adj for heat)
Extremely disappointing as each workout I run I get marginally slower & slower? Not where I want to be? I ran the same run 3 weeks ago as a an easy run the day after a long run (no warmup, no strides, no day off prior?)? And that run I ran 5 miles whereas here I began to die in in mile 4 and had to cut it short at 4.5 miles & run the final portion (which felt terrible) as a broken segment. Felt ok for the first three miles (but really flummoxed as to why my pace was 8:11 pace) and then really struggled in mile 4. Really wanted to stop at 3.75mi but literally "willed" myself to extend this out to 4.5 mi.
