Easy Run

Another run in tropical Caribbean conditions. Fast walked & did drills prior. Ran the "hill route" - Started out fr Whole Foods & hung a left on Sharon into church for a loop & then back on Sharon (mile 1 - noticed that my legs felt marginally stronger & did not feel "dead" as prior days, & legs did not go "dead" after 100/200m), continued on Sharon right on Sulkirk & left heading down Park Central (noticed I could feel shooting string-like pain in hamstring on every incline), hung a right on Park to church on Old Reid & then looped back to Park & back thru church (mile 3 - concentrated on using my glutes which lessened any hamstring issues, could feel myself sweating alot more yet this felt like mile 2 & it wasn't); then ran up Old Reid & then left on Park Central to Fairview (mile 4 - after feeling good to about 3.5 mi I began to feel "hotter"), ran up Park Central left on Fairview for abt 200m & then back, around the parking lot at American Burger & then over & behind Panera & ended up stopping at Bank of NC at 5.1 mi (at 4.5 mi I began to lose rhythm & this was a struggle - pace reflects how bad I felt - zero strength, sweating profusely, shorts soaked). Did some drills to regain rhythm, & then ran up Fairview to Whole Foods (felt no strength) to 6mi. Shopped & then ran final 1/2 mi (again, felt like I had no strength but one positive was that when I resumed after abt a 10 min break my hamstring did not hurt which is positive since normally w/an injury I'm in a lot of pain for the first 100m-200m).
