Easy Run

Lifted, fast walked & did drills prior. Started at McMullen Greenway at Trader Joes. My injury is high hamstring tendinopathy in my right leg which is a bad thing (an injury that usually will never heal similar to Achilles because of poor blood supply in the area). It felt cooler but running on the greenway it was much more humid & when I finished my shorts were soaked thru. When I started my leg felt better than yesterday, felt like I was in better rhythm, but over the first mile it felt like 3 of the 6 sparkplugs were not firing as I felt like I had no power (and mi 1 shows this). After mi 1 i began to gradually feel better (mi 2 to Johnston Rd), and mi was all uphill to the 2.75 mi mark, & then ran out into the neighborhood up the hill & turned around at 3.2 mi -- so the majority of mi 4 was on a slight decline & here I felt even better (cadence, rhythm & leg felt stronger). But once I hit mile 5 I began to "slow" a little as I could feel my legs going to molasses. And when I got to Johnston Rd and ran up to the parking lot that hill seemed like a mountain and really taxed my legs to where over the final 1.7 miles fr Johnston Rd to Trader Joes my legs felt so weak, has almost no strength & had real trouble maintaining rhythm. Wow - amazing how this injury impacts things where at a certain point things literally fall off a cliff like today!
