Easy Run [8:02 pace p mi adj for heat]
86 deg / 48% H [64 DP]. Did 2x drills prior. Felt almost sick before I started (probably because how miserable it was). Started out and did not feel good (on Monday I had spring in my step, felt I had an inner reservoir of energy and a second wind). Today I felt flat (not as bad as yesterday) but at least it was not a struggle. Brutally humid as I was sweating in the first mile and my pace reflects exactly how I felt. Brought water along and dropped off at 3.6 miles, and then at 4 miles it was like I hit a wall (of heat -- my shorts were soaked at this point), at about 5 miles it started to become a struggle where I could really feel my energy fade, my appetite vanish, felt really hot. Retrieved my water at 6 miles and drank but at this point I was toasted. Over the last two miles my goal was not to get myself too tired for tomorrow. Post run had zero appetite to eat recovery bar (which is a sign of overheating).
