I decided that the issue in my hips is likely piriformis syndrome or related - it felt bad today. Did some drills a few miles in - high knees, butt kicks, skips, sideways shuffles, 3x 24 each leg. Got even slower on the second half, about 8:45/mi pace. Probably should have done shorter recovery runs today.
