Got Brandon to come over and do a killer workout with me! We did the long warmup around the backside of the hill and then got right into the repeats. I was not sure how things would feel or hold up as my right achillis/calf had been sore as well as my right arch, but it wound up feeling fine on the workout. Here were the splits: 28:21 to the bottom of the hill, 1:30, (1:45), 1:30, (1:40), 1:27, (1:39), 1:25, (1:42), 1:25, (1:43), 1:21, (1:42), 1:19, (1:45), 1:13!, (1:50), 14:45 to one mile mark on trail, 7:10 last mile home. I was nervous when we hit 1:30 for the first rep. That is about 5 seconds faster than I usually start. We were able to hold it together and keep going negative. The last two reps were my fastest ever for that workout. Brandon was 4 seconds behind me on the last rep all the others we were right together. I was bonking on the way home and my right calf tightened up as soon as I stopped. I walked and then iced and got good sleep though, so hoping it will be ok. Overall Really pumped with the results of that workout! I must be in low 16 shape right now. Cant wait to race.
