Notes

Havent done any training more than 3 miles a day in the past few weeks because of the knee and hammy. Hoped I would be able to hang but its just not possible. Talent is not my strong point. In order for me to run well I have to be training well and not injured. I went out with Jim through mile one and felt ok leg wise. I thought I would be able to keep it up and hang as it did not seem that bad at all... by mile two I had been dropped and was red lining. No workouts and miserable cardio do not equate to fast races. So just kept plugging away and losing ground on everyone. I know that I can kick this race in the shins... I just need to be in shape to do it. I actually was very surprised I ran the time I ran as I felt about as miserable as I have felt in a race this year. Splits for future reference. 7:48, 9:16, 9:21, 6:02 (last .7) There is a nice flat part right before the last uphill during the last .7 Make sure to hammer because the finish is right there.
