Ran the first mile in 5:01 feeling alright. Just a little sluggish from the days off I think. Then mile two I was at 10:21 so a 5:20 second mile and was starting to get nervous about finishing. Really could have let it all fall apart but Fram went by me, Jose went by me and Navas went by me. Already ahead of me was Haggerty and Livingston. So at mile 2 I was in 6th place for the team. Almost packed it in, but then started to get my second wind... ran a 5:36 last mile and a tenth, so right around 5:03 for the last mile. Passed Jose, then Fram, then Navas and was one second away from getting Haggerty at the line. If I had known where the finish was i could have really put some people away... If there was another 100 meters I would have taken down lots more people... Next year! So overall 3rd on the team and 31st overall. Good solid effort with 3 days off prior and a sore achillis.
