2k @ Threshold, 6x400 @ Mile (2'), 3x300 @ F (Full)
This was really hard. The threshold felt really good, though I started off clipping 80" laps for the first 800 before reigning it in a little bit. Felt smooth with minimal discomfort in my Achilles. Wanted to make sure I didn't start off too fast for the 400s, but in turn started way slower than I wanted to. Could not find a good rhythm on these. It felt like I was either going way harder than mile pace, or I was not going fast enough. Ended up feeling like I put way more effort into these than I should have. Probably a result of being super busy/stressed with class work the last two weeks and from eating like absolute trash the last few weeks. Need to take better care of myself if I want to be any good.
On the bright side, during the first 5 400s I felt no pain in my heel at all. Completely forgot about it being so frustrated about not hitting pace. On the last one I locked up a bit and it started to feel tight. Decided against doing the 300s out of fear of more heel pain/being dead after the 400s. Saturday will be interesting.
