3k @ Threshold, 6-8 x K @ Faster than Race Pace (90")

Solid workout today. Gorgeous weather of mid 60s and sunny today! Threshold was very controlled, splitting 6 flat through the mile and speeding up a bit through the second half. Legs felt a bit tired and out of sync after that, so really tried to get into a rhythm during the first few reps. For all the intervals, I would focus on getting off the line well and getting in front of our group. For me, it helps to establish a good sense of the pace from the front of the group. I was moving pretty good, but through 3 intervals, I was pretty gassed. Legs got a bit heavy, and I started working a lot harder, despite hitting slower splits for reps 4-6. Went into 7 with the plan of only doing 7, and hit that one pretty well. The whole group agreed to tough it out for one more, so decided to go for it. Felt better on rep 8 than I did on almost any other rep. Closed the second half pretty strong, and pretty much the whole squad came with. Glad we could grind this one out despite it not being our best day. Nice weather certainly helped. With the last big session in before nats, it's time to not get too greedy and sharpen up. Feeling ready. Mobility afterwards.
