Notes

First run in about a week. Wanted to get out there and test out my achilles and see how it was feeling. Ordered some kinesiology tape and taped up my achilles in a way that is supposed to off-load some of the stress on it during normal, everyday use in order to hopefully speed up the recovery process. The tape is kind of tight, and slightly reduces the range of motion in my heel. Felt a bit strange while running at first, but got used to it. Heel felt ok during the run. Not painful really, but I could definitely tell it wasn't quite right. Going to try and string a couple of lower mileage days together in a row and see how the achilles reacts. I'm hoping it will improve somewhat.

As for the run, it was an enjoyable one. Really glad to see everyone. Caught up with a bunch of people before turning back at University with mid-d and some other sort of injured people. The mid-d guys started hammering, so ended up running back mostly with Adam. We discussed our frustration over the frailness of the achilles tendon.

Watch splits are real goofy. Definitely did not run a 5:42 mile in there lol.

Core back at the Armory. Heel drops during the day, and got Lexy to roll me out.
