2010 Palatine Invite - Sophomore Race
After going out like an idiot last year, Hanson made me start in row 2 in the box to ensure that I got out relaxed. He also gave us a race plan to stay relaxed for the first 2 miles and sit in the 20s and then attack the last mile. Got out right and then slowly weaved my way into position. Found Trevor and Jon, but Milner went out like an idiot and was running in the top 5 for some reason. We waited until 2 miles and then started to move up. Caught Milner with 600 to go and kicked it in, passing him and Chris May from York. Placed 8th with a new PR. Disappointed Hanson didn't let me go for it and try and win. I think I could have competed with the top guys and broken 16. Oh well, team placed 3rd and varsity was 4th!
