Cold morning out there. Woke up late and had to rush off to practice even though I went to bed real early last night. Felt pretty groggy on the jog over there and really just mentally defeated myself then. Got into the workout and felt not too bad surprisingly. There was a pretty nasty wind coming from the west. Originally planned to just sit on the group for the first couple because I was being tired and lazy, but the pace started to lag once we hit the wind so I tried to rally us. From there I started bolting the start of each interval and then slowly dying off each one, which explains why each one got a little bit slower. Could have (and should have) been tougher and been able to hold the pace I started off at for each rep, but I had no grit today. Called it at 5 to avoid blowing up and running real slow on a rep. Looking back, I'm very disappointed in my effort. Next Saturday will be better.
