Felt very good, especially in the beginning. Very nice to run in Busse Woods with the leaves all around. Could feel that hips wanted to tighten up so I tried to focus on keeping them loose. The promise of a postrun Starbucks latte kept me going. (I used the drive-through to spare others of my fragrant postrun self!) Knowing that I signed up to run a 10 mile race motivated me just enough to do 6 instead of 5 (then just went for an even 1 hour 15 minutes. Did not have it in me to go for 10k though.)
