Went into the race with a mentality of doing a hard effort long run trying to average ET pace (7:00) at 7:30 but after hitting mile 1 at 5:59 I re-evaluated and switched my mindset. I felt strong and I told myself I could maintain that effort for another 8 miles. Gradual uphills were tiring, so effort-wise it didn't feel like it, but pretty consistent with 5k splits; 19:50, 19:57, 19:42 which also led to a 10k PR. Goal was to be sub 65 so pleasantly surprised with the result of being sub 60 by feeling it out and going with the flow rather than being nervous and holding back.

Three race weekends in a row though-- my legs are beat!
