Notes
Lil gusty today.
Huge shoutout to coach kailyn for being an extra great coach/motivator today. After the meet got postponed due to lightning sighting, we were limited to a 40 minute warmup. She told us what we needed to do and kept us calm and focused which went a long way with mindset going into the race. The way the conditions were, the only thing running through my mind was 'be aggressive.' I felt aggressive over the land barriers and had the mindset of 'keep running' through the wind-walled water jumps.
Had gotten my silly ankle wrapped halfway through the day and I actually think it helped a lot. Surprisingly, it felt better after the race. Probably helped that I resorted back to the pencil dive instead of what I tried to do on Wednesday. Now that it seems a little less sensitive, I will work on strengthening it before SWATH.
Shoutout to my wonderful teammates with high energy cheering for the race. It really makes a huge difference getting through a tough race.
I was a little bummed with today's result because I was pumped and really was ready to throw down a PR. My career is coming to a close so I'm running out of time to prove my fitness.
