Notes

Today was suppose to be my first half marathon and I was so so psyched when I signed up for it back in January. I feel like it's more my speed and it gave me a purpose to train. I decided to still map one out and see what I could do. I did a warmup and skips, I got the typical nerves last night/today, and got antsy toe-ing a crack on the sidewalk. I felt strong for the first 3 miles and then kinda tanked and positive split the rest of the time. I've gotten very used to running and working out alone, but today it hit hard. I miss my runner friends. I miss having a community of runners who come together for races and support every PR and every journey.

I wasn't able to dig deep and really push myself to my race goals, but I thought about all my runner friends out there struggling to be alone. For anyone happening to read this, I can't offer an in-person running buddie, but know you still have people rooting for you, no matter where you are in your training. Whether you're coming back from an injury, trying to stay motivated to train for big races, or just running for fun, be proud of what you can accomplish and mini goals you can achieve to make it to bigger goals. We'll take it one step at a time and we'll better appreciate the company once we are able to have it again. <3
