Notes
When I finished my run, Jeannie asked "How did your run go?" I literally retorted "Excellent".
This was a great run. A few of those late miles that clocked in at 7:20 or so came without me really trying too hard. I couldn't believe the times I was achieving. I must admit that mile 13 didn't come as easy, but I think it was more uphill than flat or downhill going around that portion of the college. That's what I see in the elevation chart too.
My knee didn't bother me as much at the start of today's run. I iced it before the run, which likely helped.
Also, I didn't wear my compression pants or my under-armor shirt today - just a normal pair of shorts and my Steamtown marathon shirt. I did wear my biking gloves and a hat (which is not normal for me in 48 degree weather) but maybe I'm still warming up from yesterday's polar bear plunge :)
Oh, and there's no way my heart rate was avg 199 and max 235 in mile 5. I think my hardest miles were the last two, and my avg/max was 156/159.
