Weather: 98 degrees with rising humidity

Interval Comment: Started at Rockledge park and did out and back on Northshore trail

Comment: "Wow, it was hot! Went out slow and fell about 20 minutes from the car! #$%*&! Washed off in lake and continued on. String broke in my shorts and I ended up low-riding most of the trail, constantly slowing to pull up my wet and sagging shorts. Used the Montrails today, as my Brooks Tresspass were still wet. The shoes worked great, however, about 2/3 of the way through the run, I started squishing, as the Gortex lining was holding in my sweat and the socks got pretty soggy. Happily, the Ultimax socks did great and my feet did not develop any hotspots or other problems. This was a hard run, mostly because I was alone and felt draggy. I was pleased that I averaged an hour per segment in spite of feeling terribly slow! After the run, hooked up with Letha, Mark and Steve, of NTTR and talked about Letha's Grand Slam effort, WOW, what an accomplishment. Letha and Mark are headed out to do the Wasatch 100 in a couple of weeks."
