Notes
The marathon with the flattest profile I have run to date, but has a nasty "slow poison" hill 5km to the end. The elusive sub-3 hour marathon is left to be fought yet another day...
At least I had an opportunity to meet 3 great runners: Zola Budd (Pieterse), Frith van der Merwe and René Kalmer. Also, seen Bruce Fordyce at the start.
