Notes

Not my best day. Went through the first mile in 5:46 and felt like I was exerting myself. Not a good sign. Mile 2 was around the right pace, but felt way too hard. Tried to keep up with the leaders, but after we rattled off a 5:17 for mile 3, I decided it would be wise to back off... especially considering how heaviness of the legs. Fell into a pretty good grove of miles between 5:30 and 5:35, but never really felt comfortable. The left hamstring sort of felt like the sled blade in the Jamican's sled in Cool Runnings. Seemed like it was barely hanging on as the race progressed... fortunately the bolt didn't come off... with how I was feeling I didn't really need to scrap my head down 300m of ice.
