Plan was to do tempo's up hill for 2 miles after a warm up mile - then turn and continue tempo pace downhill. I was planning to hit 6:20's on the first 2 tempos - then run at the low end of the range on the way back. I was overdressed and took a short break at the top after the 1st two tempo miles. Running uphill was challenging. 6:39 is not exactly a tempo goal pace. Ran a bit faster on the way down. Averaged 6:12 on the way down, which is far more in line. Overall, it was decent run given the weather and the fact that it was X-Mas week.
