Did a new Trail Loop today at Forest Park. Explored a new trail I hadn't really taken the time to run yet and am knocking myself now for not trying it earlier. Started at Saltzman trailhead and ran to Wildwood. Stayed on Wildwood for approx 2.5 miles and then took the Maple trail for a nice long ride. Crosses Leif and continues for a few miles below Leif parallel. Trail was amazing and very fun to run on. Mostly flat with a section of uphill that wasn't too bad for a guy who regularly runs up the mountains of the Coast Range. Maple connects back onto Leif where I briefly ran to and then up an unnamed trail that connected to Firelane 5 & Wildwood. Took a left on Wildwood for about .65 miles and came right back to Saltzman where I finished the last 1 mile with a slight uphill fast. Got my heart rate up pretty good when I finished and was very pleased with the loop I just ran. I figure it to be right around 9 miles on the money. Solid day!
