Awesome run with Billy this morning on the Gales Creek Trail. Originally planned to run out on the new Gales Creek Trail segment (under construction) but plans had to change. Got out on the trail and as we got close to the washout segment, we both heard a loud BOOM!!! Apparently blasting is underway once again (thank god) to complete the trail segment. Scared the shit out of us and we both turned around and ran back the way we came fast! We ended up just doing the Storey Burn Trail loop which was still nice. Had perfect weather today, nice and warm (warmer than usual april weather). Encountered an inmate work crew on the storey burn trail clearing and clearning. They did a good job and we thanked them as we went by. Nice to have Billy out on this run. First time he'd been out on these trails. Body felt good today despite taking the past week off. After the run we drove out to Buxton and did some shooting up past the Banks/Vernonia Trail. Shooting the AR-15 was fun!
