1 mi easy + 2 x 1.5 miles at tempo interval pace with 1 minute active recovery + 1 mi easy
My dang shoes got all wet and then dried up and now they're way too small so I had to do the whole entire workout barefoot. Quite nerve-racking. Anyways, I forgot my tempo interval pace so I ran the first 1.5 miles at 7:15 pace (w/ last 200m in 50 sec). Then I took about a 3 minute recovery, and then ran the next 0.50 miles at 7:15 pace. I then took about a 2 minute recovery and ran 0.75 miles at 6:30 pace (last 200m in 49 sec). Then I took a 1 minute recovery and ran 400m in 1:34 (6:06 pace), took a 1 minute break, ran 2 x 200m in 40sec/39sec with a 30 sec rest between. I ran a little more than a half-mile cool-down. I really enjoyed this workout. It hits just about every pace and does't kill me, but it's giving me a lot of confidence. Going to start repeating this workout.
