Heart wasn't really in it at first but warmed up after 5 miles and then after 10ish had some brief inspiration and only the last 10 minutes or so dragged. First time doing a long run in these shoes so I wasn't sure how they would feel but they actually felt great. Feet and achilles had no issues at all and felt good for the rest of the day as well. Stayed in the shade a fair bit and didn't overheat at any point which was more than I had hoped for going in.
Headed to day 2 of the D1 state meet for a couple hours after this and then Nick and Bailey's wedding. Bummer to miss all of the running events but that's how it goes sometimes.
