Stopped in Shrewsbury before PT at 7 tonight. Wasn't planning on a workout today but thought it would be good to run some hills while I was here anyway. I originally planned on 10x60s with and easy jog between, but 7 and 8 were a little slow so I opted to do 4x30s instead of the final two 60s reps. The 30s reps felt really good and were much faster than any of my 60s reps so I think that was a great game time decision. The 60s reps were hard but I was recovering pretty well in the time it took to get back to the bottom.

I was telling Mike Curnen at my PT appointment that I'm really trying to emphasis speed and hills to reinforce good mechanics these days. IF the marathon and DEST relays taught me anything it was that I can do plenty of good tempo work so I want to work on my weak spots more right now and slowly introduce higher volume of tempo work later in the summer.
