Fun race in Falmouth today. It was about 50 degrees and just barely raining which I felt was great racing weather except for a couple puddles. Felt pretty strong but went out a bit too quickly and paid for it in the last mile or so. Hard to say whether I should have started much slower, I think maybe 5:20 would have been good though. I envisioned really hammering the last mile of this race and when it came I kept trying to pick it up but couldn't maintain well. I was shooting for 5:25-5:30 pace and I got it, so no complaints.
Pretty sure this is my second fastest road race ever behind Tarzan Brown where I ran the same pace for 5.5 miles.
