with theo and thelma. she was getting over being sick and we didn't have any time. didn't talk about it but she knew i was sad. the more she kept trying not to say it, the more she kept saying and referencing it. then she'd look at me quickly to see if i'd start to cry. managed not to. she's trying so hard to keep me from thinking of it.
