Notes

The plan was to start slow and settle into Marathon Pace and see how long I could hold it, but of course, I went balls out with an 8:26, 7:56 mile 1 and 2. Settled down a bit after that and managed to finish with slightly over marathon pace. Pretty happy with the overall result. I used a powergel strawberry banana at mile 9ish? Tasted fine, was easy to get down. I think overall, gels aren't going to give me the "boost" that I hear other people talking about, but I do think that taking them might help me from feeling so bad in some of the middle miles of a marathon. So, I'm going to stick with it.

There was something kinda chewy in the powergel though. Not sure if it was expired or supposed to be like that. Hm.
