Looked like I was lucking out as the rain seemed to be letting up at the start of the WU, but I ended up having to cut this short because as the storm picked up again with some threatening thunder and lightning. Being still 2mi away from my car, it didn't feel wise to risk it. The intention was...

...a workout from XC. What I got done didn't go too well, but maybe I should have been more flexible on the times considering the wind and rain. Tempo felt very off and was surprisingly positive split 5:36-5:39. Regrouped on the 1600, but it felt tougher than I would have liked. Only squeezed in the first 800 before pusn out, gettin rul scurd of the storm, and heading back to car. Could I have done the rest? I'd sure hope so, but it wouldn't have been fun. But, let's call it an off day. As I was running back to the car, figured might as well get in some 200s. Just ran hard for 35s on each of those, for whatever distance that ended up being.
