Tough workout in general, especially so with a bit of a headwind in the second half, but gave it a solid effort and more or less still hit the paces. A little slow on the 400s but each got a little interrupted by a road crossing which really throws off momentum for something so quick. Regardless, not overly concerned about 400s anyway.

Once again got over to the West Ashley Greenway for that helpful change of scenery and nearly-ideal long workout setup. Used the workout feature on my watch which was pretty sweet. Workout was:

3 to 6E (I chose 5) -- 3x (1T w/ 1min jog) -- 3x (1km @ I w/ 2min jog) -- 3x (400m @ R w/ 400jog) -- ~2E

Goal paces of 5:45 -- 3:17 (5:18) -- 72 (4:50)

So again, mostly got there. Typically got a little too excited on each T and would have to slow it down (though first 2 had some tailwind), and the 1kms were definitely tough with the headwind but I'm surprised to see all 3 just about there. Was trying to trick myself into thinking "hey it's just the first 2 miles of last week's 5k with breaks!" but there's only so much the mind can do sometimes, haha. Again, 400s weren't great but between the wind and a street crossing interruption on each, I'm hardly concerned, especially with such a short GPS-measured distance.

All in all definitely solid stuff. This really isn't what I'd consider to be in my wheelhouse right now so I'll take it... and 3 weeks ago I definitely wouldn't have been able to predict I'd be doing this right now!
