Notes

Much better than yesterday, so I guess I just ate something yesterday, I don't know.

7AM run in SC and it was already getting hot and humid, so I made the right choice running at that time. I definitely progressed but I'm sure I didn't get down to steady, though I didn't think that would be realistic. Maybe next week. Most of my runs are big negative splits, but I guess I should focus on getting the end pace lower. Anyway, pace is mostly a guess, though I was able to time and measure a 2.6 mile loop that I ran thrice on the run, so I've got a decent idea. Loops went roughly 6:50, 6:45, 6:40, nice constant improvement. Started to pick up more for the last 15 and got going well, but ended up bonking a bit at 77 and the pace got slower for the last 5, but I'll chalk that up to being only mostly hydrated. Did the good ol 12 oz of water right when I woke up, but I could have used some more. There are occasional water fountains along the roads here, but I don't know how I feel about them. Did try one yesterday at around 25 min, possibly the source of stomach problems? Dunno. Normally I'd steer clear of outdoor water fountains but if there are clean ones out there, they'd be on this island.

Anyway, much improved from yesterday, though not 100% perfect. Should be fine to double tonight, just gonna be hot.
