Planned 8 at Town Center, 9:00 pace + 1 min walk every 2 miles, plus 3 warmup and 3 cooldown, there and back. Not exactly a track, but I'll take it.
Pace and effort were OK, but Achilles was complaining quite a bit by the time I headed home. Had to walk a lot on the way back.
Dammit. This does not bode well for a 50K with 5700' gain this weekend (even though I plan to walk the uphills), let alone the May 24 hour. Before surgery, the Achilles never got worse *during* a run. This sucks. Every day it's something. Hamstring, Achilles, toe, lack of endurance, whatever. Way too many weak links.
