Notes

Took Sat, Sun, and Mon off. Not good enough, I think. Trying to run on hills was stupid. Downhill hurt like hell on outside of R foot. Going to need more days off.

Originally I thought the issue was right tib anterior strain. Later I revised that to extensor digitorum longus, including the tendons on top of the foot. And I think that was correct, and seems pretty much resolved. But something in the foot is definitely not resolved, very painful at the base of the 5th metatarsal. Worst when going downhill, or with foot inverted. Trail cambered down to the right is the worst.

This seems consistent to me with peroneal tendonitis. Not sure which of the three muscles / tendons... maybe peroneus tertius, which seems to be a rare injury; in fact not everyone even has this muscle.

I think the next run I do will have to be on the track, going clockwise, so there is no pressure on the right lateral foot on the turns. How long to wait, hmmmm.

Oh, also first run in new Clayton 2. Not really too much change from Clayton 1. I still have five more pairs of those to work through, because I stocked up when I heard the Clayton 2 would be an ounce heavier, which it is not -- weighs exactly the same.
