Drove to St James Farm with Jake and we met up with a guy neither of us really know since Jake just had him on his podcast. He runs a 9 flat 3k steeple which is really good or something. I don't really understand that race. The run was honestly quite beautiful. Forgot beauty could exist in Illinois. We originally planned 14 or 15 and Caleb was dropping at 12 but Jake decided we needed to do one Blackwell hill at like mile 7 and it completely shattered my quads. I goo'd up at 10 but it wasn't enough so I just called it quits with Caleb at 12. We talked running the whole time since Caleb is a year younger than us from Nequa Valley. He name dropped a bunch of high school runner names I haven't heard in a long time but I remembered most of them. Went to Jake's after for pancakes made with everything in the kitchen and eaten like cavemen. 5 star cakes. 6 hour drive back to Minne after. Sad to leave. It was a fun week runnin with the homie. Many a breeze shotten as jazzed might say
