I decided to try something new today, something quicker than my long tempos. I think it went alright. It was definitely a big ol' reminder about how much speed I've lost since HS. The goal was 1mi off 1mi on x5 with the offs around 7 min pace and the ons between 5:30-6 min pace. What I realized is I can do 5:30 without feeling like a sprint but I bonk pretty quickly going that pace compared to my tempo pace (6:20-6:40). My legs were really feeling this workout. Happy with the effort though.
