Twins won baby. Brewers can suck my ph@T ass. Jk I don't actually care about the MLB whatsoever. Today's long run went great. I felt like I could've kept going just fine at the end which isn't always a feeling I get on my long runs. A similar feeling to last week's. I convinced Brenna and Claire to join me again and we basically just went east on the rice creek trail to 7.5 and back. We made it well into Circle Pines. It was very nice out - the weather was nice, the scenery was nice, the company even nicer. Brenna and Claire were apparently entertained by my copious swass drippage once we got a ways into it. It's humid what can I say. Anyway, the plan was similar to last week's, but fartlek style. [I told them that fartlek means speed play in Swedish, but Brenna the swede says fart means stop. Well, Brenna, I looked it up and fart means speed and lek means play so you can suck on my ph@T ass like Christian Yelich did yesterday]. The first 8 were easy-ish (around 7 min pace), then for the next 6 I did the first 2 min of each mile at 5:30 pace, then easy-ish the rest. Those miles ended up between 6:12 and 6:35 which seems not bad since only about .4mi of each mile were run hard. I abruptly felt the need to shit my britches with only a quarter mile left thank god so I was able to struggle home without any bush desecration. Went to Natalie's parents' for brunch and a game of Wizard after. Fun game. Miss those people.
