Notes

Been awhile... first off, I feel good, that's important. The achilles are improving but not anywhere near 100% (the first 20 steps in the morning suck as does walking in my work shoes). Doing all the little strength work after each run last week of lunges and calf raises seems to be helping.

edit: I did some rolling of my calves the last 2 days, I think that is underrated in helping the achilles!!!

The downside is that despite feeling good, running a lot and not drinking much, I'm getting heavier again. Sigh. Time to watch my chip and beer consumption and get lots of sleep.

Goal this week is to sleep a lot, run 60 miles, workout Wednesday, 25km trail race Saturday at a long tempo level effort and keep doing the strength work while eating conscientiously.
