Richmond Half - 1:09:33 good for 11th
Not what I was shooting for but training hasn't been the best over the past 5 weeks and Legs have been beat up. I can say I gave it everything I had today. I wanted to push harder and my body wouldn't respond. ran the first half just like I wanted. Instead of dropping 5 seconds per mile I went the other way 5-10 seconds per mile. My body defaulted to that pace. Guess that's somewhat understandable giving the work I've done recently. The positives are I've definitely increased my threshold, which has been a weakness.
* Still need to get legs stronger. Going to the gym 1-2 times per week will not cut it. I have some imbalances and it's time to fix things.
* Both hamstrings got really tight. Was limping a bit after the race. taking 5-7 days off to give my body a rest and hopefully this is nothing too serious.
