10x40 sec up hill and jog back down

1/2 mile jog rest

1.5 mile @ 5:30 to 5:35 mile pace

1/2 mile jog rest

8x40 sec up hill and jog back down

1.5 mile @ 5:20 to 5:25 mile pace

1.5 mile cool down

Negative split the hills.

The first 1.5 was 8:15--right on pace. The first half mile was with the wind, so no problem hitting the pace, but the mile back was into 15mph headwinds. Just hung on for that one. That much effort would hurt me later.

The second 1.5 was 8:20--slow. Same thing happened the first half mile--on pace with the wind--but the last mile into the wind killed me.

Also, it didn't help that I had a 180 degree turnaround at half mile right back into the wind.

I'm not really disappointed with this one even though I didn't hit my times. On a good day, I think I could have done it.
